Crown Lands
It doesn't seem likely that two long-haired, white-wardrobed hippie types could pack the kind of punch that comes from Oshawa, ON-based Crown Lands. Composed of Kevin Comeau on the guitar & bass pedals and Cody Bowles on the drums & lead vocals, Crown Lands is a band full of surprises from the start of every show to the end.

The psychedelic rock duo was formed in 2015 with two of their songs, Being Right and One Good Reason, being finished on the first day they practiced together.

Despite the lack of a bass player, Kevin is able to make the earth tremble with heavy blues-laden riffs and a Moog Taurus bass pedal which he plays with his foot while serving the high end on his guitar.

Cody's vocal range and tone is likened to the early days of Led Zepplin's Robert Plant combined with those of Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale. The songs are raw, fierce, and all-out fun for classic rock and new rock fans alike. The group isn't just about having a party and banging your head, though – Cody explains that the name Crown Lands "serves to devalue the symbolic ownership of Canadian land by the Monarch."
Mushy Callahan
Meaningful lyrics, powerful multi-vocal harmonies, beefy bass riffs, arena-quality guitar solos, and layered musical touches are all characteristic of the classic rock band, Mushy Callahan. This band, made up of four very talented brothers, has already been awarded many honors, including winning The Edge 102.1 indie band of the month. They have also made an appearance at Edgefest 2012 along big names such as The Sheepdogs, Silversun Pickups, Billy Talent, and Yukon Blonde. Their video "Shot Down" also debuted in the top of the Aux.TV charts.
As 102.1 The Edge DJ Dave "Bookie" Bookman described them of having, "A real passion – with a real technical prowess." Part of the band's distinctive sound comes from blending different voices and instruments. Their voices support one another in perfect harmony, likely due to the fact that they have been making music together since they were children.
The musicians in Mushy Callahan are all Alberta Natives who moved to Toronto. Thus far, they have released their debut EP entitled "Man On The Run," which is an incredible mix of classic and indie rock, a unique flavor of music that they have become known for.
Ultimately, Noah, Lucas, Joel, and Jacob are looking forward to touring the U.K. and Canada in 2013, sharing their music with the world and supporting the spring release of their debut full length album.
